Google Maps, The most usefu app from Google which continuously give updates to provide better information to it's users is now came up with one more update.
This update adds few useful Features such as
- Live Train Status:
As the name suggests this Feature will tell users where the train is. It also list trains available in between the starting and destination stations either a single or connecting trains. However it works good only long distance travelling. As per the Google official blog this feature was build in partnership with the "where is my train" app.
- Public Transport Information:
Google now tells you exact bus travel times base live traffic. This feature uses Google Traffic data and bus schedule data to calculate the destination time. This Feature is Initially launch in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Surat, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Mysore and Coimbatore and spreads all cites later.
- Mixed Directions, Auto-rickshaw:
When there is no single vehicle available to reach your destination, it mixes Auto-rickshaw and public transport. The public transport tab in Google maps suggests when taking such journey is good, it also calculates estimated fare and time reach each station. This Feature is Initially available in Delhi and Bangalore and will soon extend to other cities.
