The recent changes in mobiles includes Displays with notch, Dual Screens, Rotating Cameras, pop-up selfie cameras, In Display Fingerprint Sensor etc. Each one is used by different companies with the final goal of bringing out the full view displays.
But the main problem in bringing out the full view display is Selfie Camera. As like a fingerprint sensor, Camera can not be placed under display, because the surface of the camera should not be Opaque it should be transparent to allow light to fall on the Camera in order to get clear picture.
To avoid the notch and and bringing full view display various companies are implementing various technologies such as pop-up selfie camera by VIVO, slider mechanism by OPPO FIND X, Rotating Cameras by SAMSUNG & ASUS and some other companies even use Dual Screens. All these methods pretty good and worked well till now, but the problem with this is their durability and making the devices water resistant.
Now the top most companies around the world are working seriously to overcome this problem. Samsung has announced over a few months backs that they working on In Display Camera. LG also filed a patent against In Display Camera model. Recently oppo posted a video of a phone with in display camera on their official Twitter account and Redmi also teased their Mi9 prototype with in display camera on Twitter.
Any of this companies did not revealed the technology behind it, but patent filed by Xiaomi against this technology was exposed which reveals that it is using two displays with slider mechanism to provide a gap for camera when needed. This was clearly explained by the phone talks.
We should wait few more months to see this technology in real world as any company didn't revealed the date of releasing this technology to real world.
Let us see how to good the companies will implement this technology and how good they work in real world.
